Following the success of the Columbus programme in Scottsdale Arizona, Feb 9,10,11, one of the participants has agreed to formulate a standard protocol for using the Career Wheel (Wheel of Life) and other tools so that there is a systematic approach for coaching throughout the whole company.
More on this as the protocol develops.
Welcome - I have set up this page as a forum for members of the Columbus Personal Performance Coaching Programme to share their stories and experiences across the world. Please contribute freely - David Rist

Wheel of Life
The Wheel of Life Template is a useful tool to help start a meaningful coaching discussion. You can simply sketch out the wheel ad hoc during a conversation.
Use the 'spokes' of the wheel to identify areas that the individual considers important to them in their situation. This need not be their whole life, it could be aspects of their business life or aspects of their sport etc.
Having identified the areas of importance then use a scale to identify how satisfied the individual is currently with each area.
Ask the question, 'for you to rate this area 10 what would your experience need to be?' Elicit this in terms of what they would see, hear, feel and overall be experiencing. Continue with each area (wheel spoke) and you have a basis for deciding what goals to begin to explore and a way of knowing when the individual has reached each individual goal.
